Sometimes milk was utilised to make a luster impact on the glass. They inevitably were referred to as Kakamba Prosser beads, named following the city during the Republic of Congo where they were being traded. Prosser beads started to fall outside of favor from the early 1900’s when far more elaborate glass bead patterns were introduced in Africa.
